Description

"Meddeas" is a Spanish organization that operates in Spain and USA. The main goal is to improve the language skills for both students and teachers through international exchange programs.

"Meddeas" runs a competitive full-time internship program for native English, French and German speakers, which includes teaching practice in Spanish schools as a language assistant and TEFL university training.

The Role while Teaching English in Spain

The language assistant is a native speaker of English, French or German and supports the school's language teachers with conversation practice. The tasks differ from those 

- In the teaching assistant role and include encouraging the oral practice of a foreign language.

- Explain their home culture.

- Assistance in other subjects such as science, arts, and physical education.

- Act as a role model in correct pronunciation and grammar, and collaborate with faculty members in creating educational materials and lesson planning.

This is an excellent opportunity, but at the same time a challenging experience that will undoubtedly take you out of your comfort zone.

 It will require the serious commitment and engagement of those involved. If you are only interested in paid tourism, we recommend that you do not apply to teach English in Spain with "Meddeas". 

Finance and Benefits

- Placements in more than 200 schools all over Spain.

Requirements

- Native-level English speaker.

- Someone who enjoys working with children and/or young people.

- Previous teaching experience will be valued.
