About the program
The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) is organising the 12th edition of the Atlantic Dialogues Conference, a high-level conference convening influential public and private sectors leaders from around the Atlantic Basin for open, informal discussion on cross-regional issues.
Through its Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders program (ADEL), PCNS promotes intergenerational dialogue during the conference and beyond, between leading experts, senior officials, and high-potential change-makers, as we believe it is crucial to involve young leaders in policy-making and in constructing narratives.
The PCNS ADEL program, which is held two days before the Atlantic Dialogues conference, is geared toward young professionals. This initiative brings together 30 to 50 young leaders each year from Africa and the Atlantic basin. These up-and-coming leaders have demonstrated leadership qualities and a strong sense of dedication to the social and economic problems that their communities and the entire world are dealing with. 40 emerging professionals under 30 will be chosen to take part in the 2023 Atlantic Dialogues Emerging
Finance and Benefits
- The PCNS will cover the cost of the round-trip tickets in economy class to and from Morocco for 40 participants.
- Hotel accommodation, catering, and local transportation during the dates of the program and conference will be covered by the conference organisers.
Eligibility
Candidates for this program must satisfy all of the requirements listed below:
- Applicants for this program must be between the ages of 25 to 35 years on May 4th, 2023, the day the applications for the program open.
- Applicants must be a citizen or having a residency for the countries located in Africa, Europe, North America, South America, Central America, or the Caribbean.
- Citizens of countries bordering the Atlantic Basin will be given priority.
- Applicants must prove their English language proficiency in their personal statement and the short video
- Applicants must be available for the whole duration of this six-days program, which will take place from 11th to 16th of December, 2023 in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Selection Criteria
The candidates will be graded using the following factors for selection:
- Having professional achievement and professional growth.
- Possibilities for leadership and examples of leadership in your community or career.
- Ability to contribute to the Atlantic Dialogues and Emerging Leaders networks and dedication to global, Atlantic, and/or local engagement.
- Ability to clearly express ideas (assessed through personal statement and a short video)
