Open call for 30 participants from all over Europe and the neighbouring countries to Europe to join the second edition from Erasmus+ training course "Youth Exchanges for Youth 2" which will be held for one week in the north of Catalonia, Spain. This project is organised by "Youth BCN" organisation and funded by the European Union through Erasmus+ programme.
About "Youth BCN"
Youth BCN is an accredited organisation for Erasmus+ based in Barcelona, Spain. The organisation works as an incubator for young entrepreneurs and a co-working space. Also it provides advisory and consultancy services regarding European funds and entrepreneurship activities. Furthermore, they develop their local youth work in the district of Sant Martà by implementing Erasmus+ and ESC projects.
The organisation has a big experience with Erasmus+ projects such as youth exchanges for young people and training courses for youth workers. During these years they have gathered enough knowledge in the non-formal education sector to train new youth workers, volunteers, facilitators, and trainers who are starting to take the first steps in this field.
About the training
"Youth Exchanges for Youth 2" aims to increase the professional competencies of youth workers and enable them to exchange the best practices and promote cooperation and innovation in the field of youth work across Europe.
This training course will focus on project design and guide you through every stage of the project cycle, from generating ideas to evaluation. It will cover essential areas such as assessing needs, setting goals, understanding impact, facilitating learning cycles, communication strategies, evaluation techniques, and overall project management.
Throughout the course, the trainers will provide insights into best practices, effective tools, and methodologies to enhance the quality of your project. Our aim is to equip you with the skills needed to design, execute, oversee, and justify projects to meet the required quality standards within the KA1 of the Erasmus+ program.
The training Goals
- Increase the knowledge and experience of youth workers in designing, coordinating, and implementing youth exchange projects within the Erasmus+ program.
- Provide recommendations, resources, and approaches for enhancing the excellence of youth exchanges, with a specific emphasis on non-traditional learning and the international movement of young people.
- Empower youth workers to efficiently involve young individuals in the development of projects that cater to their interests, requirements, and worries.
- Foster collaboration and networking among participants, enabling them to learn from each other's experiences and insights.
- Provide project participants with knowledge about the functioning of the Erasmus+ program, its objectives, and project management.

Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Participants who are over 18 years with no maximum age limit.
- participants are a resident in one of the following countries ( Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Austria, Belgium - DE, Belgium - FL, Belgium - FR, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Western Balkan countries Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro)
- Participants who have experience in local or international youth work such as previous participating in Erasmus+ and ESC projects.
- Motivated, proactive, and open-minded participants willing to take advantage of participating in a program full of workshops.
- Interested in improving personal and professional growth in the field of international youth work.
- Flexible person and ready to take new challenge and join the whole activities of the project.
- Community-oriented, eager to keep working in developing youth exchange projects after this training course.
Expenses and Benefits
The costs for board and lodging are covered during the project
- Participants will be accommodated in the youth hostel Xanascat in la Seu d’Urgell, a medieval, charming small town in the North of Catalonia.
- Participants will be placed in rooms of mixing nationalities. The rooms are equipped with WIFI, lockers, bunk beds and shared bathrooms.
- The hostel provides 3 meals per day with coffee breaks. the food will be mainly vegetarian and vegan options, as well as other dietary restrictions.
- The venue is located in a great area near many services such as a pharmacy, supermarket, cafés, bazaar, etc. Within walking distance of 10 minutes to the old town and the town’s XII-century cathedral.
- It is possible to travel 2 days (in total) out of the program, but the project is NOT covering the costs for accommodation & food outside the program.
- Your travel costs to and from Barcelona will be reimbursed according to the distance between your home and the project venue according to the following limits:
- for travel distance between 10 and 99 km: 23 EUR / person
- for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person
- for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person
- for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person
- for travel distance between 3000 and 3999 km: 530 EUR / person
