An open call for 27 youth workers, teachers, and young journalists from Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries to join the training course "What can AI do today?" which takes place in Filaga, Sicily, Italy, from the 3rd to the 9th of October 2025. This training course is organised by "InformaGiovani ETS" and co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.
About the training course
The training course “What can AI do today? ‘Artificial’ ‘intelligence’ in everyday life and youth work” will take place from 3–9 October 2025 in Filaga, Sicily, Italy. Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming part of our daily lives, influencing how we work, learn, and connect. However, awareness about its mechanisms, risks, and ethical implications has not grown at the same pace. This course aims to equip participants with a critical understanding of AI and promote its responsible use in youth work, education, and social engagement.
The course will combine theory and practice, exploring the history and models of AI development alongside concrete case studies. Through non-formal educational methods such as simulations, games, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain practical insights into how AI can be integrated into youth work while reflecting on its social and ethical impacts. The program is designed primarily for youth workers, teachers, and journalists, but is open to anyone interested in applying AI tools in the social field.
