Erasmus+ Training Course "Bridging, Breaking Barriers" in Marrakech, Morocco (Funded)

About the training course

Youth in both the MENA and EU regions continue to face barriers such as gender inequality and hate speech, with young women and those with diverse identities experiencing the greatest exclusion. Digital spaces, while offering opportunities, often intensify these issues by spreading stereotypes and silencing dialogue.

The “Breaking, Bridging Barriers” project seeks to counter these challenges by uniting young activists, youth workers, and organizations from both regions. Through networking, skills training, and intercultural exchange, the initiative empowers participants to combat hate speech, advocate for inclusivity, and challenge gender-based norms in their communities.

The project aims to amplify marginalized youth voices and harness the power of youth-led action. Its main objectives are to:

- Strengthen youth advocacy skills on gender and inclusion.

- Promote inclusive policy dialogues with decision-makers.

- Use the GAMMA+ model to combat online gender-based hate speech through digital counter-narratives.

- Share tools and support mechanisms to better assist vulnerable youth facing discrimination.

- Build lasting networks of cooperation between youth-led organizations in the MENA and EU regions.
