A 7-day Partnership-building Activity in the Czech Republic on reviewing how to strengthen capacities in human rights education and intercultural learning. This seminar is open to representatives of NGOs, formal educational institutions and educators themselves interested in professional development and passionate about education. this project organised by KURO Hradec Kralove (Youth NGO) in Czech Republic and Funded by Erasmus+ programme.
About KURO Hradec Kralove
It is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded in 2012. The main activity of the organisation is volunteering, education and culture, especially its development in the city of Hradec Kralove. It organises educational events (youth exchanges, seminars, training courses) at the international level, mostly within the Erasmus + programme. They also support cultural events on a smaller scale with the help and contribution of their volunteers. The main cultural event of the organisation is the annual street music festival.
Activity Objectives
- Sharing the facts in the various member states of the Council of Europe and thinking about opportunities for human rights education and intercultural learning as a potential driving force in advocacy for democracy.
- Gaining knowledge about the various European programs and funds that can support initiatives in the field of human rights education.
- To exchange ideas about the competencies of teachers that need to be developed and strengthened in the current situation.
- Develop joint initiatives for educators aimed at strengthening our capacities in human rights education and intercultural learning
- Develop joint strategies to deal with the various challenges of human resources in the educational field
- To enhance cross-sector collaboration
- To create new connections and networks
- To deepen knowledge of EYF, Erasmus+ and other European and national funding opportunities and to find potential application partners.
Finance and Benefits
- There is no Participation fee.
- All travel expenses will be covered by project's budget as follows:-
Participants from Czech Republic = 0 euro
Participants from Poland or Hungary = 180 euro
Participants from Italy, France, Spain, Romania, Moldova, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine = 275 euro
Participants from Portugal, Georgia and Armenia = 360 euro
- Costs of Accommodation and meals will be covered by project's budget.
- You will get 3 meals per day ( breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 coffee breaks )
- Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organisers, for recognition of their competence development during the activity.
Eligibility
- You are a resident in one of the following countries ( Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine)
- To apply for this opportunity you should be one of the following classifications:
- Be a representative of NGO, formal educational institutions working in the field of capacity building for educators and aiming at equipping their staff with new competences.
- Educators themselves, who are open for professional development and eager for education to respond to the issues of nowadays.
- Stuff members of NGOs which are focused on Human Rights Education and developing competences of educators.
- No age limit to apply for this opportunity.
- Have a good command of English language.
- Motivation in networking.
- Experience in the topic of formal or non-formal education, human rights education and intercultural learning.
- Commitment to participate in the whole duration of the activity.
