An excellent opportunity for the youth organisations staff to get Training of trainers in Experiential Learning. This training aims to build capacity among youth organisations to deliver high-quality educational programs in their communities. This training is organised by Creative Connections (Youth NGO) in Balestrand, Norway and co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+ programme.
About the training "Crack the Cycle"
"Crack the Cycle" is a training course for 8 days for 25 participants aims to increase the quality of youth work by equipping the youth workers such as coordinators, facilitators, mentors, educators, teachers, etc.) with competencies in the experiential learning process. This training aims to build capacity among youth organisations staff to support them to deliver high-quality educational programs for youth in their communities and increase the learning outcomes for the young people who have lots of opportunities nowadays to get involved in youth projects, both locally nationally and internationally. The main objectives of the training are:
- To raise the level of knowledge in experiential learning.
- To foster workable facilitation skills in applying the experiential learning cycle to different non-formal education methods.
- To develop practical skills in designing and implementing experiential learning activities on different sensitive topics.
- To empower youth workers to design and facilitate learning processes with young people on several important current topics.
EligIbility | Who can apply ?
- Individuals from youth organisations who are over 18 years old with legal residence in one of the following countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland).
- Applicants should be members or collaborators of active youth organisation (staff, active member, volunteer, etc.)
- Your organisation should have a valid OID number (working in European projects like Erasmus+ and ESC)
- Participants should have the willing and the motivation to be involved with their organisations for at least one more year after finishing the training.
- Able to communicate and work in English.
- Beginners or those who are at the beginning of their journeys as Facilitators in non-formal learning processes are welcomed to apply.
Financial conditions
- There is no participation fee
- Accommodation and meals are fully covered by the local organisers during the training course.
- Participants will be hosted in shared rooms (3-4 people per room) at a guest house in Balestrand, Norway.
- Travel expenses from your home country to project venue will be reimbursed after participation in the project according to the distance between your travelling place to the volunteering venue as follows:
- for travel distance between 10 and 99 km: 23 EUR / person, no Green travel available.
- for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person, +30 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person, +45 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person, +50 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 3000 and 3999 km: 530 EUR / person, +80 EUR extra for Green travel
