Excellent opportunity to attend a short course in Croatia. This course aims to promote the idea of experiential learning in the open air, which can be a powerful tool for youth empowerment and will lead to strong educational outcomes at scale that will benefit youth work practitioners. This opportunity organised by Association for communitiy development Kreaktiva in zmajevac, Croatia with co-funded by Erasmus+ programme for 24 participants from 10 countries in Europe.
About the Training course
With this training course Kreaktiva Association want to give chance for 24 youth workers, educators and youth leaders that work with young people on the daily basis to experience the power of learning from the nature and outdoor approach for the personal and social development and motivate them to use it more often in work with young people.
Objectives
- Exchanging challenges of youth work at the local level and identifying how OEL could be used as an effective NFL approach and tool for promoting the personal development of youngsters.
- Providing a space for youth workers to “live through” OEL activities in nature and thus allowing them to experience the power of such learning in order to motivate them to use this approach for their daily youth work.
- Raising confidence and skills of youth workers to design and facilitate NFL activities with OEL elements and provide tools that later on could be easily adapted for local youth work needs.

- There is no Application or participation fee.
- Your Travel Expenses will be reimbursed as soon as possible to your Bank account with Euro currency as follows:
Croatia - 0 Euro
Hungary- 20 Euro
Italy, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Cyprus - 275 Euro
Portugal - 360 Euro
- The accommodation and food will be covered fully by Erasmus+ programme.
- Participants will be hosted in accommodation Baranjski dvori and Zmajevac.
- Participants will share rooms of 2-4 beds ( some with separate showers and bathroom)
- Free WiFi will be available.
- If you have a mobile data plan from another EU country mobile operator, you can use it in Croatia without additional roaming charges.
- About COVID safety, Before boarding the plane/bus/train you will have to present either:
- EU Digital COVID certificate.
- Negative RT-PCR test result taken less than 72h before boarding, or Rapid Antigen Test taken less than 48h before boarding (cheaper, ready in 20 minutes)
- Only public transportation will be reimbursed, private transportation e.g. taxi at your own expense.
Eligibility
- You are a resident in one of these countries (Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Cyprus).
- Aged over 18 years old.
- You are a Teacher, Social Worker, Educator, Scout leader, Youth Organisation Peer- Leaders, etc.
- You are working with young people (not children) in schools or in non-formal education system (as volunteers or paid workers) on regular basis.
- Ready to organise at least 3 follow-up activity using the experience from this training within 3 months after the training.
- Have a good skills of communication in English.
- Committed to learning and working together for quite long hours every day and being outdoors.
What to Bring?
- A valid ID Card or Valid Passport.
- Bring your European health Card in your wallet, but Travel insurance will be recommended by host organisation.
- Bring your tickets, boarding passes, invoices and receipts to get your reimbursement.

Deadline: Application deadline is Thursday, March 31st , 2022
Selection: Date of Selection until 10th of April 2022
Preparation: Doing homeworks in April and May
Arrival: Arrival day is Sunday, 5th of June 2022
Departure: Monday, 13th of June 2022
