Apply for "Human Rights and Creativity" Conference in Luxembourg (Funded)

Open call for participants to attend "Human rights and Creativity" in Luxembourg. The conference explores creative approaches for historical, political, and human rights education for young people and multipliers (theatre, football, biographies, music, etc). This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. 




About Human Rights and Creativity conference

Against the background of the fact that contemporary witnesses disappear and the history of the Second World War fades, the conference “human rights and creativity” explores creative approaches that focus on the access to historical-political and human rights education for young people and their multipliers. The activity incorporates best practices and examples from experts on different topics such as documentary theatre, football and history, biographies, a “memory walk” and ostracised music.


The Conference's objectives:

- To reflect on and outlining the state of historical-political education and human rights education in participating institutions, with a focus on the issue of how to reach out to youth and youth workers.

- To discuss and compare best practices, discover (new) methods, and inputs

- To establish connections between various parties, particularly between youth-  institutions and memorials

- To promote the employment of innovative, creative techniques and formats (Experiment with new ideas)

Eligibility and criteria

- Aged over 18 years, there is no maximum age limit.

- Resident in one of the following countries 

  • Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries : Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Türkiye.
- The target group is youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth project managers, educational staff of memorial sites management staff of memorial sites.

- The selected participants should be motivated about the topic of the conference and to contribute to the follow-up of the conference.

Finance and Benefits

The project is financed by the participating National Agencies of the Erasmus+ programme

- There is participation fee varies from country to country, check your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre to know about the amount of the Participation fee.

Note: the Participation fee can be 0 EUR (like Belgium), or 75 EUR (like the Netherlands) or 100 EUR (like Germany).

The National Agency of Erasmus+ in Luxembourg will cover the costs of accommodation, meals for the participants and costs related to the program of activities.

- Most of the National agencies will reimburse the travel costs for the economy class tickets to the extend of 95% from the total amount of the tickets ( you need to check your National agency website about that as well)

-  Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity.
