About Blue Book Traineeship

It's a paid administrative or translation internships for a period of five months offered by European Commission twice a year for university Graduates from European union countries. The traineeship can start on 1 March or 1 October. You could be placed in Brussels, in Luxembourg or elsewhere across the European Union, where other EU agencies are located. 


Eligibility

the traineeship is open to all EU citizens. A limited number of places are also available to non-EU nationals.

- Have completed a standard 3-year higher education degree, corresponding to a complete Bachelor’s cycle, or equivalent.

- Have no prior work experience of any kind, in excess of 6 weeks in any EU institution, body or agency.

There is no age limit for participating in the programme.

- Have a very good knowledge of languages:

For the administrative traineeship you must have a very good knowledge of two EU official languages, one of which must be a working language: English, French or German at C1 or C2 level. and a second one at B2 level at least as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. For non-EU nationals, only one procedural language is required at C1 or C2 level.

For the translation traineeship - you must be able to translate into your mother language from two other official EU languages ( French, English or German )

- Additional points will be given for graduates with

  • work experience
  • International profile demonstrated through Education, work or Volunteering experience abroad
  • rare fields of study


Supporting Documents

You should provide the following documents, preceded by a table of contents, in this order:

0. Table of contents showing the list of documents in the PDF, point by point.

1. Copy of a valid passport or identity card proving the nationality indicated in the application form.

2. Copies of all university degrees indicated in the application form, together with transcripts from the relevant university.

3. Copy of proof of enrolment in current studies, if applicable.

4. Copies of certifications/licenses obtained, as indicated in the application form, if applicable.

5. Copies of evidence of all declared work experience in the home country, as indicated in the application form, if applicable.

6. Copies of evidence of all international experience indicated in the application form, if applicable.

7. Copies of evidence of language skills declared in the application form.

8. For general skills, no certificate is required. However, you must justify them in the box provided for this purpose in the application form.

9. For numerical skills, proof isn't compulsory but only recommended, However you must provide evidence of these skills in the application form.

Duration 

the Traineeship lasts for 5 months from March 2023 to July 2023.
